Sugar’s Nepal Experience
Below is a small excerpt from Sugar’s recent visit to Kathmandu, Nepal, eight weeks prior to the earthquake. To read her full encounter click here.
“After getting a little lost, we pulled up outside a building and as I looked through the metal gates, I saw a group of children all running up with their hands together shouting “Namaste” (Nepal’s way of greeting someone, much like ‘Hello’ in English). I was instantly overwhelmed at all these happy little faces greeting us, smiling and waving as we got out of the cab.”
